I had heard SO many horror stories about IUDs, especially the pain of insertion. But I wanted to post my AMAZING experience so far! I got it inserted on Monday and had virtually no pain. I took ibuprofen before and my gyno inserted lidocaine into my cervix when measuring it. After that, there was super slight cramping and a pinch.

Guys. I LAUGHED AFTER IT WAS DONE!! I had been so nervous and felt almost nothing.

I’ve had really minimal cramping since then (it’s only been 3 days, so things can obviously change) and I have no spotting!

Obviously, I’m not a doctor and things can always go wrong, but don’t let the fear of pain stop you from getting it done!
