Nuvaring and a period

I started the nuvaring last month and it took away the spotting I had from having my son. Two weeks into starting the ring I began to start spotting. It’s now a month later and it went from spotting once a day to a actual flow. I’m doing the continuous method and I just want to know has anyone else experienced this. If so how long before the actual bleeding stopped this is becoming an annoyance. I have been spotting/having a flow for 16 days straight even on my wedding day🤬. Sadly I don’t have any symptoms of it being an actual period except the blood.
