Did you have surgery for diagnosis?

After telling my gyno about the really bad cramps and painful sex for the 100th time ..she had thought it was from not having sex until i was 20 (23 now) that my hymen had become very strong and wasn’t breaking properly. Well my husband and I tried a lot and it never got less painful for me only in certain positions and I would still cramp after. So she tells me about endo which I already have pcos, she tells it sounds like I have it but she can’t say for sure because the only real way to diagnosis is surgery and I definitely won’t do surgery just to find out if I have something that is incurable anyway.. but even if I was dead set on finding out where I live (ky) they wouldn’t do the surgery anyway since it’s just for a yep you got this.. It sucks finally having a name to all the issues but not really knowing if that’s actually what it is.. not to mention I had to have my appendix removed about 5 months ago after it ruptured and had I knows sooner Boom they would of already been in but of course not lol did y’all have surgery??
