hole in condom???

Hi, me and my partner had sex last night with a condom. (I am not on oral birth control as they were giving me awful side effects and the Dr advised me to stop them) anyway when we were finished I carried the condom to the bin and I noticed it was dripping over my fingers, I squeezed slightly and it was still dripping but my partner thinks it was from me on the outside but it was stretchy and sticky which I am not. sorry for the gross details. Do you think there could have been a hole or is he right?
