my husband has leukemia CML(cancer is contained)..leukemia you need blood test to check your white blood count and red..so if he did not do it he cannot be sure ,if you been fine in the past i would be happy i got the referral. i rather my husbands cancer doctor being monitoring his blood counts than his primary care.. keep us updated and hopefully it is nothing girl..goodluck
Cancer check up
A little background: when I was younger around 4 until the age 10 I had cancer(Leukemia) I’ve been on remission since. My last check up was at 15 and I was fine.
Over the past couple of years I’ve been wanting to get checked because I’m starting to get symptoms again. I have Medicaid so I couldn’t get a check up without a referral and my doctor always says I’m fine so I never got the referral. Last week I went to the doctor and told him my symptoms and he automatically said I’ll get you the referral and I was relieved but then I thought about it. Why would he say yes without testing or something, could it be back and he knows 😬😬😬 so May 1st I have my cancer check up and on Monday is my last day to get my blood drawn but for he past week I’ve been putting it off because I’m worried now. Really worried and I’m freaking out now I don’t want to go but I know I have to. I have a family to take care of myself for.

I had my check up and good thing the cancer isn’t back but they did find out that I have a bleeding disorder
