What’s the cause of reocurrent utis?

I was wondering if anyone found the cause/solution to their reocurrent utis?
I’ve done everything recommended 
-peeing after sex
-cotton panties
-drastically cutting back caffeine 
-using only dial soap/ warm water down there
-having less sex
-wiping front to back 
-changing underwear twice a day 
BUT STILL SOMEHOW THEY COME BACK IVE HAD 6 or 7 in a fucking year, yes I’m about to see a specialist to find a better solution because my family doctor just keeps prescribing more and more antibiotics.

My 9 year old daughter had chronic uti's from ages 7-9.  Her pediatrician finally sent us to a pediatric urologist.  The first thing he said was that it wasn't due to hygiene, otherwise All baby girls who poop their diapers would be getting chronic uti's.  He said that for her, it was possible that there was a tiny bit of bacteria holding on in her bladder, and would regrow into a UTi soon after finishing the antibiotics.  He ended up putting her on a daily low-dose antibiotic for 6 months.  We discontinued after, and she has only had 1 in the last year.  Her urologist is ok with her just having one, and while he still wants to see her in 6 months to make sure she's still clear, she is no longer doing the antibiotic.

Your body may be producing bad bacteria that is traveling from your vagina to your urethra. My body produces way more bad bacteria then good bacteria and that has happened to me.

You shouldn’t be using soap down there that could definitely be it...

I started washing my hands before sex and that has worked wonders for me (I used to get 1-2 a year but haven't gotten one in 3 years now.) But other than that you are doing all the right things. That must be very frustrating for you. I hope you find a solution soon.
