Choking you properly only cuts off bloodflow to the brain and not air the to the lungs via the airway (i.e. the trachea). This area should never be given too much pressure or you won’t be able to breathe and you could die.  Choking or squeezing the sides of the neck where the blood vessels lie brings a sense of euphoria from oxygen deprivation of the brain and can lead to a more intense orgasm.
