Natural Cycle IVF experiences?

We're starting a natural cycle IVF next month. Anyone done this?  Apparently it's very popular in Europe but rare in the US.  I'm 38, no issues other than age, hubby has 1% morphology after reverse vasectomy.  Been TTC for 6 months.  Natural cycle means no ovarian stimulation, few meds, only 1 egg retrieved. We're not doing PGS testing. Total cost, meds and procedures included, will be $6,000, with military discount.
Any thoughts/advice?

Are they performing icsi? We retrieved 11 mature eggs, in the states. But only 6 fertilized with icsi. That’s only a 54% fertilization rate. Did they give you a fertilization rate? If it’s really high, you will have a good chance. But if it’s 50s, like ours, there’s no guarantee your only egg will even fertilize. It’s a toss up.

A doctor told me that meds don’t actually create more eggs, they just grow the existing ones bigger so easier to pick out when they extract. We’re looking at natural ivf.. very early, just started. I suffer from endometriosis

Thanks for all the comments!  We are rethinking natural cycle... We are also trying to decide in PGS or not... Thoughts??

What country are you in?  In did IVF in Germany (not natural) and it was the same price (including ICSI and storage fees) . Seems like it should be cheaper for you. 
I’ve heard that the success rate with natural isn’t very high because you only have the one egg. I had 10 eggs and 4 made it to day 5. Only did IVF because of MFI so all eggs were good quality. Is there a reason you aren’t doing simulation? The drugs used in Europe are gentler. I had minimal side effects and you get a lot more for your money.

I honestly would not pay 6k for 1 egg.  No way.  I have seen people  fail these time and time again because the one egg did not even fertilize or if it did it never made it past day 3.  You can do natural mini IVF that would use Clomid and Femara or very low dose of Follistim every other day.  It will give you 4-6 eggs to work with.  If you have high AMH and AFC you would likely do well with mini IVF and even for regular IVF you would use very little doses of meds.  My cost of meds was less then 2k for a regular IVF.  You can also buy meds from europe, they accept Prescriptions from the US.  To me the cost of MINi IVF was not much less then regular cycle and the meds did not add much to the cost so no point.  My friend has done 3 mini IVFs which have all failed and she ends up with one embryo each time to transfer out of 6 eggs.  As it is I am hoping for 5 blasts if we retrieve 15 eggs.  So just understand in a typical scenario you would need 3 eggs to hopefully get one blast.  Age is also a factor.  I am from Europe ( live in the US) and none of my cousins or friends that have done IVF did a natural one as they all say its a waste of time and money and  stats are very low for them to work.
