Am I bad mom?

I had my heart set on having a girl and today I found out that I am expecting a boy. I can't help but feel disappointed...of course I love him but I can't help but cry. I feel like a bad mom for feeling this way...

Nope. I was the same way. Wanted a boy so bad and found out we were having a girl and I was heart broken. BUT I’m now due in 4 days with my baby girl and I am so f***ing excited it’s unreal. 
What is meant to be, will be. You were meant to have a little boy. It will get better I promise! Good luck mama!! 💗

Not a bad mom at all. I am pregnant with boy number 2 and I'll admit I was super heartbroken when we found out at 19 weeks. I am not almost 27 and will I sill hope for a girl someday, I am super excited now to meet my new little man in 3 months.

Nope, when I got pregnant I was so sure it was going to be a boy like I really wanted a lil boy 
when they did the blood work I didn’t want to know until I got home but my boyfriend looked at the results at the clinic and he accidentally told me in the car, and I cried because my hormones were off the wall. I got over it pretty quick tho 
Now I have the most amazing soon to be 8 month old

I was so very fortunate that first time around I was desperate for a boy and got him, and this time I wanted a girl and got one! But I know if it had been different I’d have been disappointed too. Cry it out and let it go, you’ll soon be super excited to meet your new little man!

I was the same way! I wanted a girl so bad and I found out I was having a boy and I cried. I was super jealous of everyone else having girls. But as soon as my little man was born all those feelings went away and I love him so much and couldn’t imagine anyone else

It was the exact same scenario for me. It took me about a week to get over the initial disappointment and a few more weeks for the occasional, momentary negative feeling to go away. Fast forward 6 months and I can't imagine things being any other way. I've been feeling him move and grow inside me for months now, I've been calling him by his name, bought all the clothes, prepared the nursery... at this point I can't wait to meet my boy (an day now!). Allow yourself time to adjust. There's no doubt that you love your baby regardless of gender, but it is of course normal and absolutely allowed to have a preference. That doesn't make you in any way a bad mom!!!

Definitely not a bad mum. I have a boy and found out a couple of weeks ago I’m having another boy I was so disappointed the whole day I felt really down but I soon got over it and I couldn’t be happier now my son is thrilled he’s having a brother ❣️

You are not a bad mom. You will get over the disappointment. Just cry it out if you have to and eventually that feeling will pass. 
I never personally experienced that but I know people that have. You are emotional from hormones and had your heart set on something. Don’t be too hard on yourself.

I felt this way with my second as I had my heart set on having all girls; I found out he was a boy.
Everyone I knew thought I was an awful person for being honest and admitting I was disappointed, they didn’t say it but I could see it on their faces. 
Two years down the line and he is my Son. I couldn’t imagine life without him.
I always wanted more girls and this time round I was expecting to feel that awful disappointment and guilt again if it was a boy. So much so that I’d even gone as far to say I’d rather not have any more children than have another boy. If that makes me a horrible person then so be it. 
Luckily this one is a girl but I would of definitely 100% of felt the same as you if she was a boy. 
I think many people experience this feeling whether they like to admit it or not. 
Give it time, let your feeling out and over time you will come round to the idea that you are carrying your precious baby boy. 
He will not disappoint you that first moment you look into his eyes and know you are his Mumma. 💙💙💙
