How long should you wait in between pregnancies to ensure that your body has had enough time to heal and is ready to carry another baby?

I've seen people wait years and some wait 3 months in between and to my knowledge both have had no trouble body wise. I've read the ideal time is 2 years in between though

My OB said 12-18 months for your body to fully recover. But I got pregnant again 7 months pp and have had no complications at all! I’m actually happy to be pregnant this quickly because I still remember all the little things about pregnancy that I may have forgotten if I had waited- like I was already mentally prepared for the exhaustion and leg cramps! Although, I do wish I could’ve lost those last 6 pounds first hahaha

my OB recommended I wait a year. got pregnant 13m after my first lol it has been HARD taking care of a wild toddler while pregnant especially during the first trimester

I waited 18 months, my body healed very quickly but I wanted to get my body back in shape first because of how hard pregnancy was. I also had a knee injury when my son was 8 months that I wanted to get healed first, which I can feel it acting up now at 24 weeks pregnant. It really just depends on your body and when you feel it’s ready.
