Starbucks??

So I just found out that the passion tea from starbucks isn't considered "safe" for pregnancy?? It has hibiscus as an ingredient which can supposedly cause contractions. I'm at 12w5d & have only had 3, maybe 4 since finding out I was pregnant. The baby is completely fine (just heard the heartbeat on Wednesday!) but I'm mad that I can't have my favorite tea now. 🤦🏻‍♀️

If you limited your self to only eating and drinking “safe” things during pregnancy you’d be stuck with just bread and water 😂
They’re totally fine to have every once in awhile.

Technically, since all tea/herbal supplements aren’t FDA approved, none of them are considered “safe” for pregnancy.

Unless you’re drinking it 24/7 it will not trigger contractions.

I drink it occasionally and used to all the time from weeks 12-16 and baby is fine! I’m 22 weeks and don’t think I’ve even had a BH contraction yet (knock on wood).

Oh my gosh. I am so glad I came across your post. I love my Starbucks and was getting those to avoid caffeine. Thank you so much! I’m only 7 weeks and was having a couple a week. I’ll stop for sure.
