High temps in luteal phase are normal, right?

Laura S.

It seems like there are lots of women posting and asking if their high temps in the luteal phase point to pregnancy. (I have too!)

But after researching I think that it’s normal and right to have high temps for the entire stretch from ovulation until cycle’s end.

I’m saying this as a hopefully-helpful PSA:

After ovulation it is normal and correct for our bodies to have 10-16 days of high temps. Pregnant or not. It’s because progesterone is doing its thing in there. :)

So if your chart is doing that, great! It doesn’t mean you’re pregnant. But it does mean your body is doing its thing!
