Teen daughter- mom has new baby?

I had my first daughter at 17.... when she was two I had a still born, that was a VERY rough time for me, I was all alone and a single mom... and it took a long time to get to where I am- but I know I’m ready....
Fast forward to now- me and my husband of 3 years are trying to have a baby.... I’m nervous and scared of how my teen will truly feel about being 13 and maybe a big sister? I know she is ok with the idea- we’ve had conversations about it but I feel like the age gap will be difficult for her and I want to be able to help with the transition and her feelings- however, I can’t find anyone else with any advice or experience in this... can anyone help??

My brother was born when I was 14. I always wanted a sibling and was super excited. The hardest thing for me was that I was more like a mom than a sister. He was a pretty difficult child (later diagnosed with adhd) and his dad left when he was 2 so it was hard on me when I babysat and I always felt like I had to help discipline. I was also asked pretty regularly if he was my child, which was embarrassing. I moved out as soon as I could and he was a big reason for that, it was just stressful.
Overall though, we’ve always had a great relationship. I’m 25 now and he’s 12. I buy him “cool” clothes since my mom just has no clue, and I’m going to teach him to drive in a few years 🙂

I was 12 when my little brother was born. my friends loved it. he was a lil charmer and was always a big part in everything we did together. the transition was a lot easier than I think my parents thought it would be.

I have a 13 year old and a 2 year old (due next week with our 3rd) and she absolutely loved the idea of having a sibling! Shes adjusted well, we make sure not to rely on her to help out with the LO too much so that it doesnt seam like a burden to her. I think she was under the impression that having a sibling would be more fun than it actually is 🤣 I can tell when she doesnt want to he bothered and wants her alone time so I'm sure to make sure to keep the baby with me so my oldest can do her own thing. There really is no right answer or way of doing things because every kid is different.  Mine tries to "Mom" the little one a lot and I have to tell her to relax a lot - she really is super helpful and sweet. I have a 13 year difference between my brother and I and we dont really have a relationship- hes just a weird ass entitled brat though.

my bff was 13 and was ALWAYS USED AS a babysitter and 2 be responsible for her sister yes the parents worked 24 7 but it causes a huge resentment against her little sister for years I'm talking till she was 31 and little sis was 19 so JUST be careful on how much u put on her and I think things will go great I'm 6 weeks between my bf and i this is number 6 I have one he has 4 all who live with us from 11 to 4 lol

Welp .... I have a 20 yr old step, 18 yr old of my own and we are preparing for a new baby in 10 weeks.  This is such a huge age gap however I’m 40 and my youngest sibling 22 so although growing up it wasn’t the typical sibling relationships I’d have liked we are very close now that we are older...I’m praying for the same with theses guys!!!

I'm one of five. I have a sister 2 1/2 years older, a brother 2 1/2 years younger, and sisters 13 and 15 years younger. I already had siblings so it's a little different, but we all love our littlest sisters (12 and 14 now) and had no problem adapting. I don't really have advice on how to make it smooth. We're a close family with very nurturing, wonderful parents who were very good about managing time for all of us.
