help?

so i am 16 years old, i am not sexually active exactly. but i am not a virgin and when i have sex i want to be safe so i want to go on birth control. my parents would never take but my friends are supportive and would take me to planned parenthood. (i have looked over different methods and i want to get the implant in my arm.) i was wondering if anyone could give me tips on what to expect going into planned parenthood and the side effects of this method.

I went to planned parenthood for my implant too! Yes go with a friend or two just for company. Make sure to tell them you DONT want your parents to know so they won't use your insurance. They will put you in a program for free/reduced treatment, care etc. the cost of things will be on a sliding scale depending on your own income. Bring your ID and know your social security number just in case. They will have you fill out a form or two just asking for basic info etc. Might not be the same day but you'll meet with a doctor and you can discuss your options with them. They can answer all your questions and give advice.
