Social media announcement at 6weeks?

Has anyone announced this early? I know it’s kind of taboo but with our family (and my morning sickness) this will not stay secret long. Plus i have thought about it and if something bad happened I would not want to suffer silently with no one knowing we had a loss. I would want support. What do y’all think?

The whole “wait til 12 weeks” thing is that you pass the riskiest stage of pregnancy then. Like you said, if anything were to happen, you would prefer not to grieve in private/silence. So I would say to announce now if you’re ready 🤗 congratulations!

we told our close family at 6 weeks, extended family at 8 weeks, both of those times we had ultrasounds. and then social media at 9 weeks once we were sure we didn't miss any fam

I had my ultrasound at 6w5d and told some close friends and family. Not social media. Then I miscarried at 8w5d but found out the heart stopped at 7w. It's up to you. Next time I won't be telling anyone until I'm waaay further along.

I did..unfortunately I had a miscarriage the very next day and had to retract my announcement. it was awkward for me. but, the decision is only yours to make. some people need that support system if something happens. I just wanted to be left alone.

I’m currently 5 weeks and haven’t told anyone but my husband and doctor. I’m way too paranoid something might happen. We plan on waiting as long as we can to tell anyone (hopefully more than 12 weeks). We live in a small town, and when I was pregnant with my last, everyone felt the need to overly pry and it was annoying so I’ll just enjoy my little miracle secret as long as I can
