Private school cliques

I used to go to private school and really had only one friend. There were 24 students in my class and everyone was so “perfect” and pretty much had no problems and me, my friend and 2 other girls were really the only outcasts. I was always left out and I would invite the popular ones over on occasion but they didnt seem to enjoy it and would never ask me over. I was always kinda different and depressed/emo and those “perfect” people did not know how to take that I guess. I went there kindergarten to 8th grade and had only made one friend, whereas the new kid would come and become friends with everyone in one month. I am now in 9th grade and am homeschooled because my depression got so bad at that place from being left out and occasional bullying. It’s been about one year since I left and I’m just wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience at a private school?
