Iud insertion?

Was it really painful, or more like an uncomfortable pinch? I've had the speculum before and just that hurt (although the male doctor wasn't really gentle), I don't know how I feel about having my cervix pried open. 😨 should be getting it on Wednesday.

For me, it was enough pain to make me not want to have kids. It took forever because an assistant was doing the procedure and it was her first time. It hurt A LOT and I don't mean just "a pinch". I play rugby. I have a high pain tolerance, but dang that really really hurt. Then some cramping after then it was fine. I had too much breakthrough bleeding and made my cramps worse so I had it removed after 10 months. Our bodies are all different so maybe you'll be more relaxed and it won't hurt so much.

Was a pinch for me and spotted on and off till I got my flow. And I still got my flow being on it for 3 years. They say it stops ur flow. But not me  50% of the time it will stop it or you live with the flow

For me, it was an odd kind of uncomfortable going in but that was fast.  Once it was in I had bad cramps (like a bad period) for the rest of the evening and less cramps over the next week.  Ibuprofen helped.

I got the paragard inserted 6 days ago. The Dr. will use the spectrum to dialate you, clean your cervix, measure you your uterine cavity to make sure the device will fit, and then insert the device. For me, the only part that was painful was the insertion of the paragard. I'm not going to kid you it hurt. But, it takes about a minute to insert and would possibly have gone quicker had I not been squirming from the pain. I took a Percocet immediately after( I didn't even put my pants on befor taking it), and had a heating pad ready for me in the car(my car has a plug in) and o was pretty much fine for the rest of the day. I was a little crampy, but for
the most part I was fine. The days flowing insertion have been a breeze for me. Every once in a while I get very light cramps. I've also had light spotting, but overall so far so good.

Just cramping like a period for a little during the procedure...depends on IUD after that some cause a lot of bleeding and cramps.

I hear it doesn't hurt so much  if you've had kids.. I haven't had any kids yet, so for me it was horrible pain. (I take pain very well, I'm no sissy) I was in the fetal position for 2days. When I got home from the doctor I called my husband crying.. He came home, he knew something was wrong. Heating pad was my bff.

I talked to my step mom who had it, she said she didn't feel anything (she's also had 3 kids)

For me it was just a pinch when it went in, then cramping the rest of the day, but no worse than period cramps
