Induction turned C section

I went in for my 39 weeks appt on 4/12 and my doctors decided to induce me. I hadn’t dilated yet but I was 75% thinned out. She admitted me that night starting with the cervadil which stayed in for 12 hours. The next morning the nurses removed it and i was dilated to 2cm they then inserted the ballon catheter that was supposed to help speed up dilation it stayed in for hours I don’t even know how long but it was extremely painful so i opted for the epidural during that time. My contractions were constant and very painful and even worse once the pitocin was started. The ballon got me to about 4 1/2 cm and she removed it and broke my water by then i had been in labor for about 24 hours. And i was progressing really slow. Later that night my doctor decided a c section was the way to go. I was sad because I wondered if I had waited the 2 extra days until my due date would i had a vaginal birth? Was my body just not ready? Either way the outcome was fine I had a beautiful healthy baby girl born 7lbs 15oz and 1050 that night. After 30 hours from the beginning of the induction until her birth she was finally here. My heart is overjoyed but next time I will be more patient and not so anxious to meet her. I guess it’s all apart of being a FTM and i just followed my doctors orders. Nevertheless I would do it all over again just for her 😍
