Wondering if this is labor?! Help please

I'm still waiting for the nurses line to call me back. But for now, I'm wondering... I'm 38 weeks and I've been having medium menstrual type cramps on and off since yesterday, they're uncomfortable but not unbearable. I haven't lost my mucous plug, water hasn't broken. So what do you ladies think it could be? Should I be concerned?

rule of thumb for Braxton Hicks - if you're sitting down,  go for a walk and vice versa. Drink water,  take a shower and eat something if you haven't in a while. If any of those things stop the contractions they're BH. If you've been having them for two days and they're not getting any worse I doubt its labor.  labor contractions feel like your whole uterus contracting (or back pain) not just low menstrual cramping. Think u might be getting ready to go soon but yet...contractions do feel like cramps but hurt more...(although maybe urs a just not as bad as others...everyone is different)...also though if you have not lost your mucus plug, that sounds like you still need a bit more time...keep us updated and good luck...
