Are you close to your family?

Throughout my whole life, my family seem to never understand me and I could never understand them. I don’t talk to anybody in my family on a daily bases, not even my parents. I hurts me to not have anybody to call on when I need them. I seem to be doing everything alone. Am I the only one who is going through this?

my family is very close knit. I dont really have a lot in common with them, we're all different people,  but we still love and respect each other. Maybe you could try to reach out and build a bridge? maybe they wish they were closer to you too but dont know how to reach out.

Havent talked to my parents in over 2 yrs. nobody in my family actually. I recently let my sister move in with me so that she could find a job and i could watch her daughter for free and she ended up robbing me 🙄

I have a long and complicated story but the short of it is growing up I was the odd one out in my immediate family- my mothers parents treated me like their daughter. I haven’t spoken to my “parents” in almost 7 years. I rarely talk to anyone else in my family etc. it sucks because I used to talk to my grandmother everyday, but I can’t now because she will be punished by my “parents.” I feel so alone sometimes.
