Baby cereal?

My daughter is 4 months old when is it okay to feed her baby cereal ?first time mom

A decade ago they told me to add it to bottles at four months. 5yrs ago they said to introduce it around 6months. Last year advised me not to do it at all and continue just breastfeeding. Curious to see what is said with my 4th now lol personally I don’t think it’s necessary and my older two never liked it. Much better experience just introducing mushed veggies and than fruits when the time came

My son was 5 months when I started a little oatmeal before bedtime (I didn’t do rice because there is no nutritional value).
I slowly introduced it to him and after another month he was eating it twice a day mixed with a fruit or veggie. And when I say slowly, I mean super slow. Their tummies are delicate and small. But please ask your doctor before anything.

My pediatrician prefers waiting until 6 months unless there's an issue of acid reflux then 4 months. I would mix oatmeal with a little warm water and add some veggie or fruit puree for my acid reflux baby, my other 2 kids I went straight to fruit and vegetables at 6 months.

Talk with her pediatrician. Mine said to wait until 6 months. He also recommended mixing cereal with apple juice or prune juice to keep baby from having constipation issues, and recommended oatmeal cereal instead of rice cereal
