Moms, if you could “redo your birth route” how would you do it?

Yes, I understand complications take place but if you didn’t have any, how would you have wanted to do it?

I would’ve mapped out how to get to our hospitals emerg entrance 😂 we get to the hospital in full blown labor and my husband can’t figure out where the emergency entrance is, so he parks and jumps out of the car to check the main doors as I’m laboring away in our car. I look up to see what’s taking so long and my poor husband is doing the confused shimmy in the middle of a dimly lit parking lot trying to keep his cool and find the entrance 😂

I wish I could have given birth like Carol in the last man on earth 😂 she gave birth in her sleep and didn’t even know it till the next morning

I had an amazing birth. I had an epidural. This time I’m contemplating no epidural!!!! I’ll have more insight on that after my next appointment!!! Sometimes youtube gives me confidence and other times it scares me shitless!!!

I'm choosing the same as my first time with my second. unmedicated water birth at a birthing center attached to a major hospital. the best of both worlds- safety and backup of a hospital but a birth in a peaceful environment.
I definitely don't want a home birth. I'd probably be trying to get chores done instead of focusing on the birth. I don't want to be staring at a pile of laundry or obsessing over a smudged window while in labor

I had a home birth and doing it again, but I would have had a talk with my mom. She talks a lot and asks a lot of questions and is dramatic. She was very supportive of my decision, but once she saw me in pain, she was tripping out and kept asking me in the middle of contractions, “Are you in pain? (No shit, mom) Are you okay? Do you want to go to the hospital?” And she was in a corner praying out loud like if I was dying lol I had a very long and rough labor due to a posterior baby (early labor for 2 days, active for 36)but everything was fine, just long. She told her whole family I was in labor so they kept calling to ask if baby was there yet because THEY were impatient and she wouldn’t get out of the room to answer. She would answer and be like, “MMMMM it doesn’t look good. I don’t know if she’s going to do it.” And I was sooooo angry and wanted silence. I was trying to shut her up but had horrible back labor and contractions on top of each other and my midwife knew I was annoyed with her so she came to me and said “What do you want and need ME to do for you?” SHe was just waiting for my blessing to kick my mom out 😂 I firmly said between contractions I. NEED. HER. TO. SHUT. UP! so she went up to my mom and said WE NEED POSITIVITY. IF YOU ARENT HERE TO SUPPORT HER, STEP OUT TO RELAX and pretty much kicked her out to the living room. My mom could not stand my midwife now lol when she heard I was having another home birth with her she was like CANT YOU HAVE SOMEONE ELSE? Nope!

I was induced medically I didn’t have a choice really but I’m praying to not get induced this time!

I would choose to have a c section lol my recovery was easy 😬 but I guess if c sections weren’t an option then for sure epidural... as many drugs as they can give me 😂
