Ovulating after MC - should I wait for my first period or go for it?

I had a miscarriage at 7 weeks on April 15th, I had no medical intervention, passed everything naturally and was done bleeding after 9 days. I had an ultrasound 2 days after my miscarriage and everything substantial had been expelled. I had my last of 3 HCG tests last week and my HCG was back to a normal level.

I haven’t had a period yet and we just started having sex again this week with protection. I am feeling like my my uterus is bloated and heavy. I picked up a clear blue ovulation test at the store and sure enough it shows I’m ovulating. I actually go in tomorrow for a follow up with my OBGYN but I am chomping at the bit to start trying again and I’m in my fertile window. Of course I’ll ask her advice tomorrow but I want to know your opinion. Would I be safe to try this ovulation cycle or should I wait until next month after I have a period?

I am leaning towards going for it, my husband is a lot more cautious. I guess after this loss I don’t feel like being patient. I know I want a baby and am hesitant to pass up this chance, but I do not want to set myself up for another loss.

What do you think? Any advice or success stories for me?
