My period is late and I’m single all in a day

So my partner and i were trying to conceive for a little over six months and as of both of my apps my period is late and I got off my birth control in order to become more fertile and basically I might be pregnant but today is also the day my boyfriend dumped me and told me he’s still in contact with his ex. My app says take a pregnancy test in 9 days but I don’t know what result I want anymore.
