Big baby! Anyone else?

Question

Since our 20-week checkup, we’ve been told our little girl is measuring big! Today I was measuring 33 weeks when I should be 30. Just wondering if this happened to anyone else? Did you go early, or did your baby even put closer to the big day?

My baby always measured 2-3 weeks ahead at all my scans. I had alot of scans in my 3rd trimester. I ended up having a C-section at 37 weeks exactly bc of preeclampsia and she was 8lbs 2 oz. The scans were pretty accurate even though I was told most of the time they are inaccurate. If I carried her to term,  she would of been a 10lb baby.

My 4th was measuring big supposedly on us (I had to have scans every month the last few months of pregnancy) they said his abdomen was measuring off the charts, his head was measuring at 40 weeks and was about 9lbs 9ozs at like 35/36 weeks so they scheduled me for a csection because they thought he’d get stuck with his big abdomen. He ended up being 7lbs 14oz 😳😳 my oldest son weighed more than him and I had him vaginally.

My baby's head measured in the 97th percentile at the 20 week anatomy scan. Because of this we got another ultrasound to check growth at 36 weeks and she was overall in the 47th percentile. I guess her head just grew first! My Dr has no concerns.

My doctor told me that when it’s the tummy measuring with like the ruler thing, that I probably will measure bigger because of “the extra tissue” hanging around. I asked him if he meant the extra fat and he said yes that’s what “extra tissue” is. Also, with the first I went to 42 weeks and ended with an emerg CS after getting to 7cm. Had nothing to do with how I measured! 💕💕💕

Our guy measured ahead for 3 growth scans. He decided he was ready to come at 33 weeks he was 5lbs 12oz!  Currently in the NICU because he is immature of course on the inside even though he looks older. :(

my first 2 always measured big and they arrived just a few days before their due dates. my oldest was 10lbs and my youngest was 9lbs5oz. I'm really hoping for a smaller baby this time lol 😝 you look great!

Yes my baby always measured big, at the 20 week anatomy scan he was 2 weeks big and kept getting more and more ahead. Sadly no, this does not mean they always come early. My son was 8 days late and they had to induce. He’s 1 now and he’s very tall so he was just a big baby! 10 lbs at birth. Good luck!!

genetics can play a huge part, my boyfriend was almost a 9 lb baby. But because of that I cannot gain any excess weight because that causes LGA. I also have to watch excess sugar because that can cause the baby to start producing insulin causing extra growth and fat deposits in the baby. My baby’s head is already measuring around a week and a half ahead so i have to be super super careful about everything I eat which is annoying. 🙄
