Nice MIL but I swear sometimes...
Long story but I'll try and keep it somewhat short...
My kiddo is 1.5 years old. For the past 4 months or so, he's been getting cold after cold after cold. As a result of this, he got ear infection after ear infection after ear infection. And as a result of that, he has had constant fluid in either 1 or both ears for about 3.5 months.
Per my son's primary doctor as well as an ear specialist doctor, my son should get ear tubes to get rid of the liquid. Also, both doctors believe the liquid is most likely why he isn't saying too many words since everything probably sounds "under water" to him.
But my MIL is completely against it and says I shouldn't do it. She swears that it's unnecessary and says that my kiddo isn't even behind on speech. I explained to her that he should be able to say 2-5 words by now but she's adamant that the ear tubes are a bad idea.
Well, my son is getting the ear tubes tomorrow morning and I can't wait to tell her that he got them done. I'll make sure to have a big old smile when I tell her too since she seems to think she knows better than doctors. 😤😤
