I don't think there is a set amount or "suppose to" about this. U do what is natural or applicable to the stage in relationship or what works for the couple. to put an amount like every day or every 3rd day except a Tuesday kind of stuff is weird.

why would you not talk to your SO everyday?? Even when I didn't live with my SO we talked everyday. He would text me in the morning before he went to work and at his lunch then call me when he was on his way home or to my house. Now we live together and he still texts or Face times me throughout the day.

I think it's weird to have a standard for something like that. Some couples choose and like to talk all day everyday, some every other day and some can even just contact each other here and there through the week. It's really whatever is doable and comfortable for the couple!

I don’t know me and my boyfriend have been together 11 months and literally have spoken everyday since we first spoke 
The longest we didn’t speak was when I had an operation and the nurse put my phone in a locker so I didn’t have it for a day

With my fiancé before we were dating we talked daily
And we worked together 
Then since then everyday 
We live together and I'm at college he works and I ring him on his breaks and stuff so we can talk 
We talk all the time 
I couldn't imagine a world where we don't talk 😊
