As people ask for others opinions, hence why asking in the first place - but then get humpy when they’re told the opinions!

My motto.  .  . if they like it, I love it!
I don't tell people if I like the names they picked or not, because with my first I had some very opinionated people tell me their thoughts on the names I had picked out. Picking a name is hard! At least it's hard for me. That's why this time around no one will know the name I picked until after my child is born.

Really depends who it is. Like if its a close family member then ya I’m gonna tell them if the name they picked out is not good. If it’s just someone we know then no I won’t say anything

We were talking about names at Easter dinner and my husbands cousin wrinkled her nose and clearly stated how she didn’t like any of our choices. I looked at her in disgust and told her it is a good thing it’s our baby and not hers before turning around and walking away...

My sisters wife wanted to name their baby Ariela. And I just had to protest cause the first thing I think when I hear that name is Areola. Can’t have my niece being bullied being called nipple

if asked, sometimes I will give my opinion but if it's not asked for I don't. Trust me I see some ppl come up with some really brutal names and I want to say something but it's not my kid so I keep my mouth shut and feel sorry for this child to be!

I often say something mildly positive and add that it might have this or that downside or complication or mispronunciation. So they have the information (in case they hadn't thought of that) but it doesn't sound like it's me personally who feels that way.
