Should I ask him?

So I was scrolling through Facebook and saw a profile of this really cute guy. I felt a little creepy looking at his profile lol but we have 2 mutual friends and our views seem to line up. Our mutual friends are His brother and a girl I used to go to school with. I was thinking about sending him a friend request but decided maybe I should talk to his brother first...what do you guys think? Should I ask his brother before I do anything?
