How soon do you ovulate after having a baby?

I had a baby 5 weeks ago. I’m supposed to have an IUD placed next week but we had sex today and he cummed inside of me. I’m not sure if it’ll be okay or if I need to get Plan B. I am breastfeeding and stopped bleeding a little before three weeks.

I'm no professional, but I've heard that you are MORE fertile right after giving birth. From what I understand, though, breastfeeding can act as birth control. So with both variables, I'd say Plan B would be a good idea. The only thing I'm unsure of is how Plan B would effect your milk.

Definitely get Plan b asap! We’re very fertile after giving birth! They’ll likely have u do a pregnancy test before getting the IUD, but it’ll still be too early to know so u should take another test in 2-3+ weeks to be sure.
