My husband has put on a few pounds since we’ve been married (I feed him good, oops lol)
And we visited his parents this past week and while he was getting ready he walked into the living room in just jeans without a shirt and his mom says “oh, there is nothing sexy about that” and laughed/rolled her eyes.
It made me uncomfortable and it upset my husband.

I could see her saying that it wasn’t cute, but sexy is a weird word to use describing your own son.. my step mom says stuff like that about my step sister all the time around me and my bf. She’ll say that she has a nice butt and that guys stare at it at the store. But she’s just barely 15 and my bf always says it makes him feel weird. Neither of us know what to say. Some serious crickets 🦗 maybe just reassure your husband that YOU think he’s sexy. That is what matters!

I wish there was a "sort of" option on this. It is a little strange but since it's his mom, not as much. You have to think that growing up she would likely have been the first person to advise him on his appearance. Just because he's grown doesn't mean that part of their relationship has changed. It seems like it was just a jokey mom way of saying he'd gotten fat. I wouldn't get to upset.
