Help!!!

So since I came home from college, I only see my boyfriend on weekends cause he’s a senior in high school and I recently noticed I have a severe yeast infection and today I told him after doing a lot of research to see what was wrong with me but it also said online that it could be sexually transmitted and my boyfriend and I use the pullout method. My mother told me because I have my period it should flush itself out but I’m scared I might have transmitted it to him, possibly? He doesn’t have any symptoms (that he’s at least told me) of a penile yeast infection but it’s only been a few days since we were sexually active, could it take time for symptoms to appear? How do I tell him to check for them without him thinking I gave him like an std or something and getting mad
