THE WHY?

okay so I grew up going to church with my mom as a chrisitian. At a young age I got baptized but never really understood it.  Now when my husband and I started to date we would attend church, now we have a toddler and a nb and find it hard to go with the kids but we have tried.. Sometimes I still have questions in regards to Why do some children at a very young age get cancer? why do miscarriages happen? I had a miscarriage and it questioned my faith. I have been trying to forgive those who hurt me in the past and tried to forgive my mom for things she did. I've been trying to read the bible but I feel "stuck" I guess discourage. if any of you have some good  bible verses on where to start I would greatly appreciate it

I don’t have bible verses, but I can tell you how I’ve come to answer “why” for my own life. And it’s interesting, because I always *knew* deep down that it would happen. Just always ignored it, because “that will never happen to me”, right? 
Well it did. My 14 year old son got diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia, and even before he was officially diagnosed (he was sick with unknown causes) I remember sitting in the bathtub (33 weeks pregnant) and telling God that there’s no way I can do this. I can’t. And deep down I knew what I meant by “this”. 
And then it happened. He graduated earth life a little over a year later at age 15. 
Now let me tell you. This did not make me angry with God, but instead brought me closer. I leaned on Spirit, my guides, and my spirit son to help me process and heal. I learned so much about the afterlife and what God is and means, and why he would “make” us suffer. I’ve learned that we are given the blessings that we call “struggle” to make our souls stronger. My son is a blessing and being with him down to his last breath will always be a blessing. And I thank God for allowing us to be here and experience this lifetime together. 
God IS love and He cannot be anything less. It’s our human ego and spiritual amnesia that leads our thoughts to think otherwise. But He knows. And that’s what it’s all about.

Whatever is happening in your life has a reason and meaning to it. You might not know what it is, but God does. I recommend getting a bible app as most of them have daily verses that appear on your notifications and verses for whatever you’re going through.

I’m in a similar place that you are in in my life to be honest. My husband and I were very involved in our church. God restored our marriage, it’s a long story but we owe Him our relationship, for sure. So we were so happy in church, giving back what had been so freely given to us. Then we had a hard pregnancy, my daughter, my husband got in an accident and lost his job, I was sick for like 7 months before finding out I had a low functioning gallbladder and had to have it removed. Then a month later we found out we are expecting again, I’m currently 11 weeks pregnant. And we are both in school full time, I’m graduating in August. Life can really just be like one hard thing after another sometimes and we are struggling with our relationship with God a little because it’s like... we just got so tired. We switched churches to one with a nursery staff and don’t go all the time but try to. Being new parents is a hard time in life especially with two young ones. I’ve been trying to read encouraging stuff when I do read the Bible, I just got done going through Ephesians. But there are many encouraging books! I definitely don’t have all the answers. But I know God is good. The world is not, but He is.
