41 weeks and no signs of labor?

I had my cervix checked today at my 41 week appointment and I’m still not dilated or effaced at all. My doctor said she’s not even close to touching my cervix 😩 they want me to schedule an induction but I want this to happen naturally. What do I do?

Sometimes just scheduling it helps. Both of my first two had inductions booked but came on their own a day or two before ❤️ Also it's okay if your body and baby need some help, staying in too long is risky as the placenta may start to deteriorate.

My sister had to be induced. They first put a gel in to try to soften the cervix. That caused her to go into labor so she didn’t need to get the pitocin. Things sometimes don’t go as planned with pregnancy.

Walk. Walk. Walk. I’ve heard it helps. Also try eating pineapple and getting a pedicure. I’ve also heard these can get things going. (Don’t think there’s any evidence, but here’s to trying.) Hopefully she will come on her own but there’s no harm in a little help to get things moving along. Good luck! ❤️

I have tried everything and baby is not coming on his own. As much as you want it to happen naturally, if it’s not happening, they need to force him out. You might not be able to avoid it, just like I haven’t been able to.
