Do you think $3,000 plus an income of $1200 a month will provide for a baby?

I have about $3,500 saved up and my boyfriend and I will make about $1,200 a month combined income plus a little help from our parents. So in nine months that'll be like $10,000 to start out with (taking out money we spend for necessities and prenatal care along the way) and then I'll stop working so it'll be that plus about $800 a month maybe more.
I realize babies are expensive. I realize that emergencies happen, and I realize that I should've been more careful if I wasn't financially ready for a baby. This baby wasn't planned.  I don't need a lecture. I've done the math and I think it will last me at least the first few months of the baby's life if not more and then after that I can maybe start working part time. I'll also be going to school or online classes, not sure yet. 
So as a general idea, I realize we'll be struggling but I feel like I've done a good job of planning and I already have a budget all set up- do you think this can get us through a bit? I'm so stressed out and working my ass off already.

B. As others have said it is totally dependant on where you live. Where I am currently you'd be lucky if $800 covered 2 weeks rent!

Having a written budget and sticking to it is the best thing you can do.

Your thinking the right way so good for you!!! Weather or not the money you have will sustain you depends on where you live tho. The cost of living is a lot higher in some places. But you're a mom and moms always find a way! Good luck and congratulations!!

You can do it! You will have to. I did it and I only earned $800 a month. It's going to be tight but if you have to do it you will.

It depends on how much cost of living is in your area and what all your bills come to. It doesn't sound like much to me, but I live in the DC area which is very expensive to live..

My husband and I don't make much a month either, it's doable you just really need to budget and focus on where money should be spent as opposed to spending it on disposal things. WIC is awesome. Definitely look into that. As for baby stuff, buy lots second hand, sometimes you'll meet people who will throw in stuff for free. 95% of my baby's items are second hand. Don't buy a second hand car seat! You can do it, just keep the faith.

Definitely try to live with parents and try looking into the Wick program. I believe that's what it's called. It's essentially government assistance for baby supplies. You seem like you're on a good track and trying to do what's best, so give it a try.
