Baby does not have herpes ..he is fine...antibiotic healed him up it was a staph infection thank god I am relieved thank u all for the prayers .waiting on test results to come back...ORIGINAL POST My baby is one yrs old...I caught genital herpes a few yrs ago..I was under the impression that if I didn't have any outbreaks during birth that my baby would not be born with it or that there would only be a small chance....I didn't have an outbreak at delivery and I also had a c section as a extra precaution.after birth baby was fine now fast forward to now baby is a toddler 1 and a half...his penis is swollen..red bumpy and my fear is I gave him this shit at birth...I may have fucked my kid up forever...I hate myself right now this was my worst fear ...he had a Dr appointment today and doctor think it is a possibility that it maybe herpes or staph infection..we are getting blood work tmro..I'm very scared. Update 1 ..his dad does not have herpes I caught it before I met his dad..I had it 2yrs before I found out SMH..I'm not concerned about if I gave my baby herpes after he was born...I am very careful..wash my hands often and have only had about 2 obs after baby was born...my only concern is that baby caught it from me when he was still in my womb.
