Why won’t my daughter walk ?? Lol

Hey guys! 
So my daughter turned 1 on May 2nd and she won’t stand on her legs at all, I’ve bought her a walker and a bouncy chair and even still she won’t stand on her legs. Everytime i try to stand her up she picks her feet up in a sitting postition ☹️ any suggestions ??

I know people say she will get there on her own time. However, the fact that she won’t support her weight on her legs is a little concerning. I would get that checked up.

I wouldn’t be worried if I were you. Your daughter is still young, I would give her some time. She will start walking soon/when she’s ready. It is normal for children her age to not be walking yet. I know because I study the development of young children and my brother didn’t start walking until her was 1 1/2. I hope that was helpful.

my daughter didn't start walking till 14 1/2 months old and my cousins son didn't start walking till he was 19 months old. All babies are different. Just keep practicing with her gently and encouragingly and she will get there! she is absolutely beautiful btw woww 😍

My niece was the same way. But it was because she spent too much time in her swing and bouncer, so her legs got used to that position.

ya that seems a bit concerning. I think other commenters are confusing the idea of standing supported with walking independently. my 11 month old is certainly not walking, but she has been standing and cruising for a minth now. she is just starting to let go for a few seconds to stand unsupported. I would talk to your ped. try standing your daughter up on your lap and letting her hold onto you. also try jumperoo, my baby loved hers and I'm sure it contributed to the strength in her legs.

My son's pediatrician was a little concerned when my son didn't put weight on his legs around 4-5 months old and recommended a jumperoo. I'd definitely ask the pediatrician, walking is a whole other skill, putting weight on their legs happens well before they can walk.

My daughter turned 1 on May 3rd and she is walking short distances, but we’ve been really working with her the last few weeks. She still likes to crawl most of the time though. My friend’s daughter didn’t decide to walk until she was 15 months. All kids are different. I wouldn’t be too worried. She’ll get there. 💕

My girl isn’t walking and she’s one tomorrow. I don’t think this is late, is it late?? 
She does pull up and cruise and walk with a walker toy and stand on her own for v long amounts of time. Usually she only stops standing on her own when she realizes she is 🤣. 
I think she’d be walking but she a-shows v little interest and b-is a tad scared. Also, if she doesn’t want to stand, she won’t no matter how hard we try. I like a girl w her own agenda.   
I am wholly unconcerned.
