when does your dr agree to membrane sweep?

Question

How far along do you need to be to get a membrane sweep and what does it feel like? I'll be getting induced on the 30th at 39 weeks, but I'd love for her to come on her own before that.

I've had mine swept 38&39 weeks before, but it did nothing either time. my sister in law got it done and it worked for her all three times she had it done going into labor within hours of it.

I wasnt allowed to do it last time because I was group b strep positive. We shall see if I'm positive this time.

My dr doesn’t do that at all

I asked my doctor if she could do it at my 39th week appointment and she stated I had to be dialated at least 1 cm. So unfortunately that meant no membrane sweep for me.
