Weight loss & pregnancy under dr supervision?

I have a BMI right at 35. Only 4w2d & have been gradually losing over time for a year now, wondering if anyone has had a doctor give them a calorie budget to maintain or lose weight during pregnancy before?

At that BMI I think they still want you to gain 15 pounds. Switch to maintenance mode with your calorie intake, you may find you lose weight in your first trimester which is normal. Your OB will give you more specific guidance. Have a happy, healthy pregnancy!

A girl I work with is obese and her doctor didn’t want her to gain any weight during pregnancy. She’s currently 32 weeks and hasn’t gained a pound. The usual for a BMI over 30 is to gain 11-20 pounds. But I’m sure your doctor will give you healthy guidelines as to what they recommend for you.
