Anyone else just not a huge fan of kids?

I'm pregnant, my husband and I tried for this baby. I'm so excited and I already love it. But to be quite honest, when I come across kids in public I just don't like them. It doesn't affect how I'll feel about mine, I guess it's just hard to explain. Does anyone else feel this way? 😂

with the exception of friends kids and my step son I cannot stand children but here I am, almost 8 months pregnant lol.

I do not like children that I cannot discipline (put in time out or sternly tell them not to do something)...so, basically everyone else's children aside from close friends or family.

Your post made me laugh😂 this is me, I don't like other kids because most of the time they run around, touch stuff and it honestly annoys me and my grandma always told me not to judge since I'm having a baby but I would never let my kid do the things some parents let their kids do 😭

I felt the same way. I don’t like other people’s kids at all but I am SO excited for our own. We are due in July! The farther along in my pregnancy that I’ve gotten the more excited I am about our own babies. 💕

I have 4 kids but a lot of other people's kids annoy me (and even more so their parents who do nothing)

I’ve never been one of  those people who likes to hold all the random babies they can get their hands on! I do like kids when they’re a bit older and you can interact with them more. But I think it’ll hopefully be different when it’s your own kids.

Tbh I’m the same way rn . I have two twin sisters they are very young but we were not raised by the same people even though we are blood it’s a long story but they are spoiled little brats and they are spoiled rotten and never get disciplined. Honestly because I live with kids it’s easy for me too dislike how they are. I am very excited too have my own baby and I know it isn’t easy raising them but I really hope I can be a good parent and teach my kid(s) manners.

It's different when the kids are your own. I am the same way. One of my girlfriends opened a day home after she had her first son and I would come over to hang out/help out when I wasn't working. I loved her son to death but the other children with their sniveling snotty noses, dirty diapers and bad behavior, I could definitely live without!!  I have two children of my own now, a 10 year old girl and an 8 year old boy and another son on the way due in October, I love my kids with all my heart and would do absolutely anything for them. She still runs her day home very well years later and I have come to realize and appreciate that it takes a very special kind of person to work with and take care or other people's children and I am just not one of them 🤷❤️
