I was going to get on the highway at this intersection.

There was a light infront of me that was green, but the left lane you’d take to get on the highway was filled up until the back of someone’s car was in the intersection.

It’s like lights, intersection and then lights again so the left turning lane was on red.

Meaning that if I went on this green light and took this left lane that I would be right in the middle of an intersection. I would be blocking it.

If I had gone straight, I would have gone into our air force base and I don’t really know if I can just drive onto the base.

So I stopped at a green light. I waited until it turned red and green again and by that time the left lane was emptied. Nobody honked at me because they could see why I stopped I think.

But I didn’t know exactly what to do. I know I’m not supposed to block an intersection so I didn’t. It’s illegal. I hope this made sense. I felt stupid being stopped at a green light.
