It's official!

Ali • Full-time student working on my RN-BSN while expecting baby number 1! Due July 2016! ❤️
My SO and I have decided we will start actively trying for baby #1 in January. I'd really like to be at my healthiest when we begin trying.
He and I have both lost weight in the past, but I am at my second highest weight ever, so my main focus will be to lose 40-57 pounds before then to be at or very close to my goal weight.
I know what I need to do in terms of weight loss, but what other things have you ladies done to get to your healthiest before trying? I worry about potential issues as my mom/grandma had fibroids, and I have heavy and long periods, but I just got on birth control to try and regulate.
Any pre-pregnancy health suggestions? :) Thanks in advance!
