Goat milk issues?
My daughter is 11 and a half months and we recently switched her from breast milk to goats milk. I would have kept her on breastmilk a lot longer, however I got pregnant again and am nearly 3 months now and my milk ended up drying up so breastfeeding is no longer an option unfortunately.
She has shown no dairy intolerance with yogurt, cheese, cottage cheese and more but I still thought switching her to goats milk would be a better choice than cows milk as she was not a year and I’ve heard goats milk is easier on their stomachs.
Even since we switched her she has been a monster. We thought maybe it was her molars coming in or just a sleep regression but it’s too much of a coincidence it started just as we switched over completely from the breastmilk to goats milk.
Her poop for a few days has been a sort of lighter shade of grayish green and I freaked out as everything I read about grey poop was bad, but it’s not super grey or light and she had as many poops and same consistency as normal. She’s only drinking about 15-17 oz of goats milk a day because she is eating food too so I don’t think she’s getting too much.
She refuses to sleep through. It takes her over an hour to go down for a nap or for the night and she wakes up constantly. She is a thousand times worse than when we transitioned her to her crib at 6 months. When she is awake she literally constantly whines or cries if you are not entertaining her every moment.
Did anyone else have any issues like this with goats milk? I just don’t know what else to give her because I feel like cows milk would be worse and she won’t go to sleep without drinking something. Help me! I am at my wits end! 😵
Also her one year appointment is in less than two weeks and they will not allow you to move it up so if I took her in I’d have to make another separate appointment just for her being sassy. I do not think it’s an ear infection either as she’s shown none of those symptoms.
