Cystic fibrosis testing???

Hi all, FTM here. They mentioned something about cystic fibrosis testing at my first nurse visit but said if it’s not covered by the insurance it’ll be like $400 out of pocket. There is no history of CF on either side of our family. Obviously if it’s covered by the insurance, I’ll have the test. But if not, I’m considering not testing for this but doing the testing for Down syndrome. Opinions???? How many mamas did the CF testing?
