After taking out an IUD how fast were you able to conceive?

I got pregnant on Mirena which resulted in a miscarriage. After everything had passed on it's own I was scheduled to get it removed the day we planned on celebrating our 3 year anniversary. My husband went with me to the removal, we got dressed back at home and went to dinner. I conceived my son that night. My doctor kept saying his estimated day of conception was 8 February but I knew that it was it for a fact.

My doc told me there’s a much higher risk of miscarriage or preterm delivery if you conceive right away. 
I didn’t listen and we conceived immediately. My son was born at 24 weeks. 
This last time, we gave it a few months and now I’m 24 weeks and chugging along with no issues.
