I've been in this relationship for eight years. My live in bf is still married after being together eight years. And every time I say the word divorce it leads to an argument. I've given him deadlines in the past and he never makes an effort to do anything. And here recently to make matters even worse. I just found out he has a baby on the way. I'm so tired of his BS I could blow a gasket. I really really need some advice on this very touchy matter. Walking away is easier said than done.

So let me get this straight, he refuses to divorce his wife AND has a baby on the way with another woman? Walking away might seem easier said than done but is there really any other way to fix this? I was in your position for 6 years. I don't know why he's staying with his wife, but I will tell you of my experience in this field. Judgement be damned, this is hard. (mine) him and his wife were staying together for several reasons, and I knew why. We tried to make a poly relationship, but it wasn't true poly. She accepted me because it made him happy. Hence why I hated it, but I loved her like my best friend and sister all the same. They stayed together for 6 years because of saving social face, and the difficulty of divorce. We (him and I) are still waiting for the final sign off by the judge, and since we live in Wisconsin, and the divorce is in Wisconsin, we have to wait another 6 months after the judge signs off on the paperwork to get married. (sorry for the personal bit) This divorce is hard on both of them. He still cares deeply for her, I still do enough to want to help her if she needs it. Divorce is hard and messy, money and a life is unraveled thread by thead out of a tapestry they wove together. 
I am not saying stay, nor am I saying go. I am saying this is probably why. In the end, you have to ask yourself is the pain worth it? I tried to end our relationship, it caused the divorce because he could not stay true to his  wife when I said I will not be a part of this pain and mess anymore. It was not a bluff, and I was already making preparations for the heartbreak. If you are going to leave him, you need to cut all ties, do not talk to him after, you will have to be cold as liquid oxygen to get through it. He will push for you back, if he can not produce the proof you need, he is not worth your time after. If you choose to stay, why not talk to his wife? Yes, that is really dirty, but I am assuming she knows if he lives in with you. Keep it kind, keep it civil, be open and understanding because if you can not, it will ruin ANY chance of a relationship in the future.
