EATING SUSHI WHILE PREGNANT??

Question

So everyone knows thats its so bad to eat sushi while pregnant right? 
Lately i’ve been seeing so much talk on here that its a myth? 
LET ME KNOW PLEASE, if i can really eat sushi and its safe for my baby then please someone tell me I MISS SUSHI SO MUCH😭😭

Japanese woman and other Asian cultures dont stop eating sushi during their pregnancies they are just  cautious about mercury. Its actually really good for you. If you want to do it and get it from a high end sushi place though. I've done both cooked and raw fish this pregnancy and feel great.

I was told by my Dr to avoid raw fish. Cooked fish in sushi would be fine. Just avoid eating a lot of high mercury fish often.

It’s not a myth, but it’s also not as simple as “you must abstain”. 
There are two concerns with eating raw fish: 1) food poisoning, and 2) parasites. These are both things that can happen regardless of pregnancy, and being pregnant does not increase your chances of getting either. Pregnancy can, however, make it a much more miserable experience (and, at times, can be dangerous for your fetus) if you were to contract one— particularly parasites. So, many people choose to avoid raw fish (and raw or undercooked meat generally) during pregnancy. 
There are things you can do to lower your risk, such as eating sushi only from reputable sources and sources that freeze their fish before using. Neither will totally erase the risk, so it’s really up to you to decide what you’re comfortable with.
Personally, I choose to continue eating sushi as I normally would, though I eat less tuna since it’s higher in mercury. I only get it from places I know and trust. No issues whatsoever!

I was told by my OB cooked sushi is preferable, but occasional raw or smoked fish from a reputable, clean place wouldn't be the end of the world.

It’s fine in moderation.  If there’s a restaurant you’ve eaten from often and never been sick. It should be safe during pregnancy as well. I’ve been eating it about once every two weeks for this whole pregnancy. Just avoid higher mercury fish. I still to salmon and still eat it raw.
