When you had your gender reveal did you and your husband already know the gender? Or did you keep it a secret from yourselves also?

I can't decide what to do. I'm 10 weeks pregnant and on Wednesday my specialist did the panorama screening test and we will also know the gender. I can't decide if when the results come in if I should have her tell us the gender or ask her to write it down on paper. When we do our gender reveal party I can't decide if it would be best if me and my husband didn't know the gender also, or if we did know ahead of time. Which did you do??

Honestly I get annoyed at gender reveals where the couple already know. Like "we have a secret, come to our party to hear our secret". I honestly don't care that much about the gender of your baby, I go because I love you and want to see your reaction to your special news.

We wait until the birth to find out. the second I push that baby out, my husband announces to me the gender. then after the dust settles, he announces to our family in the waiting room and then we both announce to our friends and family via text or phone call. the social media.

We found out with everyone else once we cut the cake open. I had a random stranger text the gender to my cake baker and thankfully the stranger was honest lol. Not original by any means but it was a lot of fun to find out with my parents and closest friends.

I found out because I organised the gender scan but my husband didn’t know. So I was the only one in on the secret and it was lots of fun! He was convinced he knew but I had so much fun throwing him off in the days leading up to it

We didn't know. The only person who got to know ahead of time was my best friend, who got to open the envelope the day of in order to put the balloons in the box! (We did it a bit differently though and didnt use gendered colors. Instead going with rainbow and the chromosome letters in the box!)

We found out as soon as we could our baby’s gender. But we didn’t tell anyone what we did was invited both family’s around for dinner. After dinner we asked then to watch the ultrasound and to see if the could see the sex of the baby. 😂 nobody could see it so we paused on the image were it showed the sex of the baby. We also had to give them clues on what they were looking for. Best thing ever as everyone was really involved in looking for what the baby was. And when someone finally got it they all cheered and screamed with excitement. Loved it

We found out ahead of time, but we didn't have a big party. We only had our immediate families over for dinner and told them at dessert.
To us it was an intimate setting where just my boyfriend and I could celebrate together at first and then celebrate with others after. I don't understand the people who get mad at people who decide to do it this way. Do you want to be there at the birth too? Are you just as upset that you weren't there for the conception? Be grateful you were asked to be invited to celebrate this new life, or don't come. 🙄
