Birth control to help you regulate?

Question

I came off depo about 7 months ago and I started having normal periods around 4 months ago. But no luck. I haven’t tried opks yet but if I’m not ovulating can taking a BC pill for a month or two help regulate things? I’ve heard of doctors doing this and I’m going in 2 days to see mine since I stopped depo. Should I do this if he recommends it? I just want to have a baby 🙁

We are also going on month 7 post Depo! Last week my dr put me on the pill for three months. Although I got my period back right away they are all over the place. She said it would help regulate them. I was all for it. I think I needed a break from peeing on a stick😂 She also said to come back once it’s been a year unless I get pregnant sooner...she didn’t act too concerned🤷‍♀️
 hopefully after these 3 months we can conceive #2..

I have read a lot of stories about the bcp helping people to regulate their cycle. If you dont want to put more hormones in your body you could try some herbal remedies that I have also read a lot about. Many people swear by vitex and/or dong quai to regulate cycles. I have also read that milk thistle and dandelion root are helpful. Good luck!
