Fluid level of 5?

Question

I went to my OB appt today, I'm 35 weeks 5 days and my fluid level as seen on ultrasound was a 5.. I read that normal is 5-25 so I'm literally on the low end.. my doctor didn't seemed concerned but I am.. should I be? Will this affect my baby?

They will likely keep an eye on it...but If you at all suspect leaking don’t wait to be checked. I was really low on fluid and had a slow leak. I ended up being induced at 37weeks.

With my 1st child I was losing fluid I dropped to 3 and was induced that day but it took like 2-3 days for the baby to come I was 36 weeks

Same thing happened to me when I was around 36 weeks...my Dr told me to drink more water than I normally do to see if I could I least keep it at 5 until 38 weeks...it worked for week 37 but towards the end of the week I dropped to a 2. I eventually had my planned c section at 38 weeks due to my son's head being in the wrong position and low fluid...the day after the c section my Dr told me he was very glad we delivered the day we did because o had zero fluid left. If I were you try to drink water...tons...and next appointment tell your Dr to check fluid level.

I was on a level 9 at 35 weeks and my doctor told me drink more water and only water and I did I went back for a 37 week scan and I was at a 13.5 which is good.

As you are on the low end, it’s generally recommended to drink lots of water/fluids which can definitely help, but don’t panic unless your doctor seems concerned xx
